Carolina Martínez-Caro

Carolina is a Senior Advisor at Samaipata based in Madrid, strengthening relationships with key organisations, institutions and corporations.

Previously, she served as CEO of Julius Baer Iberia for nearly a decade, where she led the launch and consolidation of the Swiss private bank across Spain and Portugal. Before that, she spent over two decades at Merrill Lynch, where she became a leading figure in private banking, known for her ability to grow business and support clients with complex needs in long-term strategic decisions. She currently serves as independent board member at Unicaja Banco, Clínica Baviera and LH Paragon, and as Vice President of the Spanish Cancer Association (AECC) in Madrid.

Outside of work, Carolina is a proud mother of three, a passionate mentor to women and senior executives navigating career transitions, and a former competitive rhythmic gymnast who still loves swimming, running, and travelling with her family.
